"During my lifetime it has been my great privilege to have been able to provide through the Harold Crabtree Foundation a contribution to the needs of worthy causes, which I leave in your hands to direct by allocating annually such amounts as you may desire to each. I can but express the hope that as the years go on the Foundations' revenue may grow and become a more powerful instrument for good" -Harold Crabtree, in a letter he wrote to his wife Louisa, and children Roy and Dorothy, shortly before his death on February 18, 1956.
